I'm w3teal
a student, and casual tech nerdy based on North Sumatra, Indonesia, my interest is messing with OS and Linux, building projects in frontend environment, and exploring lore, art, music and entertainment media.
I hate maximalism, bloats, frameworks, dependness, and big libraries. Instead, I love KISS principle, minimalism, lightweightness, openness and independent.
I love observe world building, progression, vibes, and atmosphere, I don't believe in absolute favorites, I like something when it fits with me. For now, I loves Caputccin Mocha Teal and Gruvbox color scheme, and leans into fantasy manga/anime like Witch Hat Atelier and Frieren.
For me, building is better than consuming, learning is better than playing, curiousity is better than being quiet. I pushing myself into something I liked, being respective, explorative and reflective. I hate forces, arrogances, and deniability.
I'm struggling with being consistent and stick to a daily routine, in most of time I doing things rely on mood. I easily get bored with the same reviewing and blogging style, I get comforted by soft music and little stories.
I went from these...
Experiences
2012-2019 - I don't really remember.
2020-2022 - My first experience with internet sociality with my first own phone, creating content, commenting, joining a group. Until- I get caught. But also having another channel under my parents control, full of niche and tutorial thingy. Kinemaster + Pixellab + YouTube
2023 - My first experience with computer ever, suddenly my attentions got caught everyday. I went from learn about Explorer into Office into Chrome (a good youtube teaching me to make a landing page make me curious) ...into VSCode into.... GitHub, the first time I ever coding. HTML + CSS
2024 - More and more coding projects and contributions, making
ebook, spend a lot of times in PC, get new dream and hobby, and being
open source and fediverse enthusiast.
And at a time, I editing a regedit value as adviced from sketchy website
(guiding how to Install Windows 11 on non-TPM device),
and my father had to brought my PC to service lol.
Coding + GitHub + Fediverse
2025 - Changing my alias (LIGMATV -> W3Teal).
Trying out a lot of site generators and even make myself, but as time
goes I get tired of coding and went into long hiatus.
By the end of the year, I silently tinkering on BIOS, and able to
install OS, dualbooting and distrohopping by myself
(an character development here, also modified Windows ISO is
goated), and slowly learn the art of music.
Ventoy + BIOS + Linux + AOTY
2026 - Almost no interest on coding, I spent my time to reading
blogs, music reviews, and listening to musics. And then I'm being acute
melophile. I getting words to describe the emotion I feel everyday and
reflecting anything I did.
But not just it, I distrohopping for "comfortable" OS, learn to manage
dotfiles, and even deeper into self hosting. I start loving to watch
Anime and read Manga, that somehow leads me into bigger path of coding
somehow.
Which is Bearest, an
lightweight CBZ reader. But it blends everything I want. My favorite
literature, coding principles is here. It's powered by vanilla HTML +
CSS + JS, fast pnpm, lightweight forgejo instance, and lightweight
Tauri.
Dotfiles + Tauri + Android Studio + Worlds
And then I realize,
Always changing is better than sticking.
Opinions and freedom of speech is matters than everything.
Maximalizing minimalism, don't minimalizing maximalism.
Everything you like, while diverse, would be ended up blended somehow.
That's my current project.
